From Limerick Self-Storage to StorageWise

The business was originally founded as Limerick Self-Storage at the modern Docklands Business Park in Limerick. But as the company grew and started moving toward national expansion, a new name was needed to encapsulate a century of experience while speaking to its modern services.

That’s how StorageWise was born. The rebrand marked a new era for the business, which had adopted modern technology and eco-friendly innovation while remaining committed to customer service excellence. 

“The name StorageWise was developed to represent our unparalleled level of expertise and wisdom acquired by serving local communities, families, and businesses for over four generations,” commented CEO David Hickey, great-grandson of founder William Hickey. “In essence, our goal for StorageWise is to be known as your local self-storage experts.”

This is a meaningful location for the company, as it marks the same street where the original Limerick Carting Company began over a century ago.
